I’m back!

      7 Comments on I’m back!

After a long hiatus I am finally back at it.  Looks like my last post was exactly a month ago today.  The last month has flown by and I feel uber behind (I don’t think I’ve checked my RSS feed at all in the last month (which makes me sad)).  At any rate, Im mostly moved into the new house now so maybe things will slow down a bit.  I can’t even begin to explain what a pain it is to move, luckily I had lots of help.  Either way, I don’t expect to do it again any time soon.

My wife and I have moved 4 times in the past 10 years, so I hear yah.

If I could pass along any advice for the next move it would be to just hire a moving company. Hell just two guys @ $75 an hour they can have you moved in an afternoon. Totally worth it. We will never do it any other way 🙂

    Glad to see you back!

Im also guessing this has put your CCIE studies on hold?

Yep, lots going on thats slowed things down but I should be back at it shortly. And yes, Im totally going to hire someone to move me next time (if there is a next time).

I knew that things were going to slow down with the move so I started the back end tasks of assembling spare lab gear and finding a lab study provider. Those tasks are almost complete so I should be up and running in the next week or so.

      How are yours going?

        Nice!

I’ve hit a good stride with my studies but the most difficult thing is getting the time. And then once I do get the time I seem to spend more than I should screwing around with my Dynamips server and getting it setup right. I either need a new server or just pull the trigger and buy hardware.

Im getting around 20 – 30 hours a week right now on overall studies and about half of that is dedicated labbing.

Im working INE Vol 2 labs right now and am starting to feel progress and growth. Its slow going though…

I hear you. It’s hard to find the time. If you’re like me, I need a block of time to work. If I just have 30 minutes, it doesnt work for me.

Best of luck in your continued studies!
